This initiative aligns with the growing trends in the food and beverage industry, as the sector continues to evolve towards more sustainable and health- conscious offerings. On August 22, the company announced that Laurent Freixe, who is currently the executive vice president and CEO of Nestlé’s Latin America division, will succeed Schneider starting September 1. This funding comes from key government agencies, including the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) and Innovate UK, which are recognized as two of the country’s leading funding bodies in the food and beverage industry.
